TJ Hulstein

HAWARDEN, IOWA~ TJ Hulstein, 41, of Hawarden, passed away with his family by his side on Saturday, February 29, 2020.

   Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at the First Baptist Church in Hawarden with Pastor Stuart Schreur officiating. Burial will follow in the Grace Hill Cemetery. Visitation with the family present will be from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the church. The family requests that you wear Dallas Cowboy colors or dress casual for the visitation or service. The Porter Funeral Home in Hawarden is assisting the family.

   TJ Hulstein was born February 27, 1979 in Akron, Iowa, the son of Terry and Marlene (Miller) Hulstein. He was raised and lived in Hawarden, Iowa. He married Misty and they later moved to Sioux Falls, South Dakota. TJ enjoyed visiting with people and loved the Dallas Cowboys and his church family at the First Baptist Church in Hawarden.

   TJ is survived by Misty; his children, Zachary, Jordan, Katelyn, and Skyler; his parents, Terry and Marlene Hulstein of Hawarden; sister, Tammy Draayer and her husband Stacy of Hawarden; and two nephews, Dillon and Derik.

    He was preceded in death by his grandparents and other family members.

    TJ has gone for another “walk in the park.” Until we meet again!
