Terry Plueger

LEMARS, IOWA - Terry Lynn Plueger, 70, formerly of Rock Valley, Iowa, passed away after a lengthy illness on Friday, August 25, 2023, at MercyOne Siouxland Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa. Visitation and Prayer Service with the family will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Thursday, September 7, at Beaver Valley Lutheran Church in Valley Springs, South Dakota. Porter Funeral Home of Rock Valley is assisting the family with arrangements.

   Terry Lynn Plueger was born March 28, 1953, in Hawarden, Iowa to Kenneth and Lois (Jager) Plueger. After graduating from Rock Valley Community High School in 1971, Terry started working in the manufacturing industry in Rock Valley where his career spanned over 35 years. Terry met his future wife, Natalie Olson, after being introduced by a mutual friend from church. They were united in marriage on December 27, 1976, and made their home in Rock Valley. Natalie died suddenly on December 9, 2011.

   Terry is survived by his 2 daughters, Allison and Darin Porter of Brandon, South Dakota and Kristen Plueger of Rock Valley, Iowa; 6 grandchildren, Alayna, Alex, Eli, Maya, Judah, and Faye Porter; sister, Janice and Bert Stellingwerf of LeMars, Iowa; and brother, Kendall Plueger of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

   Terry was preceded in death by his wife, Natalie; parents, Kenneth and Lois Plueger; parents-in-law, Norman and Doris Olson; and sister-in-law, Marilyn Plueger.
