Born on July 10, 1945, at his family home, Stanley spent his life rooted in Hawarden, Iowa, embodying the values and faith instilled in him from a young age. A religious person, Stanley found deep fulfillment in his Christian faith, which guided his whole life's path.
Stanley's life work revolved around his farm. His dedication to cultivating the land was more than a profession; it was a perpetual journey of learning, growth, and resilience. Stanley's farm stood as a symbol of his life's work and the nurturing spirit he carried into all aspects of his life, including opening his heart and home to foster children, offering them love and safety.
He found joy in the small moments shared with loved ones. His community engagement was marked by an enjoyment of his church activities and study of the Bible, which served as a cornerstone in his life. To those who knew him, Stanley was a humble man who spoke less in words and more through his actions.
Family was the center of Stanley's universe. His devotion, Kristi (John) Schuller, Vaughn (Allison) Kemner, Amy Kemner (John Hoffman), Mark Mosholder, Josh (Kim) Kemner, Christopher (Krystle) Kemner, stands as a testament to the love and commitment that defined him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Ila Kemner, and a grandson, Matthew Kemner. He leaves behind his sisters, Carol Bolluyt, Geraldine Day, and Linda (John) Higgins, 22 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, who remember him fondly.
Stanley's long-standing friendships were an integral part of his life; he cherished the fellowship and shared conversations over coffee with dear friends and extended family, which were marked by laughter and warmth.
