Shirley Kroon

   Shirley Kroon was born November 2, 1936 to James Ernest and Clydie Marie (Deaton) Seay of South Carolina. Shirley made her home in North Carolina and later Florida. Following her husband Harold’s retirement, they made their home in Clermont, Florida.

   Shirley enjoyed painting, which she took up at the age of 50. She lived her life as she wanted to, and the rays of love she received from her great-grandchildren is what she lived for.

   Shirley passed away on May 9, 2019 at the age of 82 years.

   She leaves behind her daughter, Becky Anderson of North Carolina; 2 sons, James Michael Smith and Roger Dale Smith both of Florida; brother, James Ernest Seay of South Carolina; 13 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.

   Shirley goes to join her husband Harold who passed away November 8, 2013; and her 2 daughters, Marie Jones and Lisa Potts.

   Her Memorial Service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 26, 2019 in the Chapel at the United Methodist Church in Rock Rapids, Iowa. The inurnment will be at 1:30 p.m. at the Pleasant View Cemetery in Valley Springs, South Dakota.
