Warner Robins, GA: Randi Kay Vande Kieft, 41, of Warner Robins, Georgia, formerly Adrian, Minnesota, died Saturday, September 7, 2024, in a workplace accident at a farm silo near Volga, South Dakota. A celebration of life service will be held Monday, September 16, at 2:00 PM at Porter Funeral Home in Inwood, Iowa with Pastor Tom Voigt officiating. Inurnment will follow at Richland Cemetery of Inwood.

 

 Memorials may be directed to the family. Porter Funeral Home of Inwood is in charge of arrangements.

 

 Randi Kay Vande Kieft was born to Jimmy and Jan (Kroger) Vande Kieft on September 6th, 1983, in Sioux Falls South Dakota. She was the fourth born of six in her family. She grew up on a farm in southwest Minnesota. She graduated in 2002 from Adrian High School and after that she attended Southeast Tech and Minnesota Southwest for Horticulture. In high school she played percussion, was involved in jazz band and was a cheerleader. 

 

 Randi became a mother in March of 2003 with her first daughter Alexis, followed by Ariana in October of 2004, Alleah in October of 2006, and Aranda in September of 2012. She welcomed her first granddaughter Maxxine (Alexis) in July 2022 and was looking forward to the birth of her second granddaughter in September with great excitement.

 

 Randi loved spending time with her daughters. She really liked to tie dye, color, and do any kind of craft. Randi loved to work with her hands. She worked in construction, renovating homes, farmwork, and gardening. Randi was a very musical and talented person. She played the piano, drums, guitar and also sang. She was always the first to help any person or animal in need. She had pet squirrels who she loved so much. She loved car rides and listening to music with all of her daughters. Randi loved being outside and fishing. She collected all kinds of rocks and had the most amazing collection. 

 

 She will be remembered by her daughters: Alexis, Ariana, Alleah, and Aranda; parents, Jan and Jimmy; siblings: Jimmy, Troy, Tomi, Tari Jo, Clinton, Jesse, and Dani; grandmother, Janice; granddaughter, Maxxine; and all of her aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. 

 

 She is preceded in death by her infant brother Jimmy Jr; grandfather, Marinus and grandmother, Catherine Vande Kieft; grandfather, Raymond Kroger; Uncles, Jeff and Ray Kroger; sisters-in-law, Penny and Tina Vande Kieft; and nieces and nephews, Mandy, Cody and Katie Vande Kieft. 

 

 Her final resting place will be next to her grandparents on the Vande Kieft side in Richland Cemetery in Inwood Iowa. 

 

 Randi lived to be 41 years old. She gave up her life trying to save another on September 7, 2024, in Volga, South Dakota.
