Rachel Hulleman

HAWARDEN, IOWA- Rachel H. Hulleman, 78, of Hawarden, died Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at the Sanford Medical Center Senior Care in Sheldon, Iowa.
Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the American Lutheran Church in Hawarden with Rev. Erma Wolf officiating. Burial of the cremated remains will be in the Grace Hill Cemetery. The Porter Funeral Home in Hawarden is assisting the family.
Rachel was born and lived her entire life in Hawarden. She graduated from Hawarden High School in 1955. After graduation she did child care and remained at home to take care of her parents.
Rachel looked forward to going to her brother Tom's for a week at the holidays. She also enjoyed going to Bible study with her sister-is-law, Mary and then going home with her for dinner. In the summer she enjoyed helping with the gardening, painting, or whatever project Mary was doing.
She is survived by her brother, Tom (Marlene) Hulleman of Sioux City; sisters, Winny Van Buskirk of Canton, South Dakota, Judy (Gene) Nelson of Canon City, Colorado, and Milly (Ralph) Rasmussen of Alcester, South Dakota; sister-in-law, Mary Hulleman of Hawarden; and various nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dick and Mildred Hulleman; brothers, Martin and Melvin Hulleman; and sister, Nioma Millikan.
