Inwood, IA: Leslie Milo Olson, 91, of Larchwood, Iowa died Monday, March 2, 2015 at the Sanford Canton-Inwood Hospital. Public viewing will begin at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church 2065 Birch Avenue, rural Inwood, IA 51240. A family prayer service will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the church with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Saturday. Rev. Rich Stevenson will be officiating. Milo was born May 28, 1923 in rural Inwood, Iowa to Gabriel and Anna (Anderson) Olson. He was the youngest of 10 children. Milo graduated from the Inwood High School. He married Wanda Boscaljon on April 28, 1950 on the family farm. Together they farmed near Brandon, South Dakota from 1957 to 1979 and then near Klondike, Iowa from 1979 until the present. Milo was a long time, active member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church. Milo enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He will be remembered as a kind, soft-spoken man and for his sense of humor especially laughing at his own jokes.
Milo is survived by his wife Wanda; children, Les (Kathy) Olson of Vermillion, South Dakota, Peggy (Rick) Rang of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Bruce Olson of Watertown, South Dakota; and his grandchildren, Derrick (Brooke) Rang and Samantha Rang all of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Gerhard, Thorvold, Herman and Stanley Olson; and sisters, Olive Magnuson, Oneva Peterson, Helen Sorenson, Palma Sundem, and Myrtle Kicker.
