On November 15, 1943 Lorraine married Willis Wells at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Ireton. To this union 2 sons were born: Larry and Mark. Lorraine loved the Lord and served on Altar Guild, was a charter member of Lutheran Women’s League, taught Sunday School, was a youth counselor, taught bible class, baked cookies for Mission Central in Mapleton, Iowa, and made many stocking caps that decorated a church Christmas tree and was given to families in need. She volunteered at the Hawarden Thrift Store for several years and then for Hope Haven sewing carrier bags for the refurbished wheelchairs.
Lorraine is survived by her son, Mark (Julia) Wells; 2 granddaughters, Sarah (Brady) Baan Hofman and Megan (Kosta) Sengos; 5 great-grandchildren, Dakota, Hunter, and Montana Baan Hofman and Mia and Melina Sengos; a sister, Phyllis Heuer; sister-in-law, Vivian Johnson; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Wells; son, Larry Wells; father, Frederick Johnson; mother, Elizabeth Moeller Johnson; brother, Roland Johnson; and brother-in-law, Clarence Heuer.
