Linda Walling

Sioux Falls, SD: Linda C. Walling, 66, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota died Friday, July 19, 2013 at the Sanford Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by her family. A memorial service will be held 4:00 p.m., Monday, July 22, 2013 at the Hudson Lutheran Church with Rev. Lori Marty officiating. Linda was born August 30, 1946 in Hudson, South Dakota to Howard and Nila (Homandberg) Miller. She graduated from the Hudson High School in 1964. Linda worked as a receptionist at North Central Heart and at several other doctors' offices. Linda lived in various places around the nation before settling in Lennox for 20 years and then retiring to Sioux Falls in December of 2012. Linda enjoyed gardening, her cats, crocheting, and baking. She was an avid antique collector, especially collecting cookie jars, and had a deep love for her grandchildren.

Linda is survived by her son, Chad (Kathleen) Hamann of Cape Coral, FL; daughters, Amy (Keith) Goodman of Rapid City, SD, Erin (David) Hufford of Pierre, SD, and Rachel Walling of Washington State; brother, Dale Miller of Valley Springs, SD; and sisters, Marlys (Bob) Brown of Hudson, SD and Cindy Scott of Sioux Falls, SD.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Nila Miller.
