HAWARDEN, IOWA- LeeAnn Bronkhorst, 64, of Hawarden, Iowa passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at Unity Point-St. Luke’s Hospital in Sioux City, Iowa surrounded by her family.

Funeral Service will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at the United Methodist Church in Hawarden with Rev. Barb Joy officiating. Burial will follow in the Grace Hill Cemetery in Hawarden. Visitation will begin at noon Monday, with the family present from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Porter Funeral Home in Hawarden. Condolences may be sent to www.porterfuneralhomes.com.

LeeAnn Bronkhorst was born December 23, 1951 in Hawarden, Iowa, the daughter of Ted and Clara (Busch) Heuer. She graduated from the West Sioux High School in 1970 and attended beauty school. LeeAnn married Ron Bronkhorst on July 23, 1985. They made their home in Hawarden where she was employed at Coilcraft until she retired due to failing health.

She and Ron loved to golf, garden, and go camping. LeeAnn enjoyed her interlocking puzzles and reading books.

She is survived by her husband, Ron; brothers-in-law, Rick Bronkhorst and Curt (Carol) Bronkhorst; sister-in-law, Robin Bronkhorst; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

LeeAnn was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Ron Heuer and his wife Eloise and Dean Heuer; brother-in-law, Dennis Bronkhorst; and 4 nephews.
