Kelsey was born at St. Luke's Hospital in Sioux City, Iowa, on October 22, 1992. Kelsey was the daughter of Beth (Ericson) & Rod Yoerger and Tom & Michele (Meyer) Tapper.
Kelsey graduated from West Sioux High School in 2011. She went on to La James International College in Fort Dodge where she studied massage therapy. Kelsey was married to Jason Peed in October, 2014.
Kelsey had a heart of gold. She was a wonderful, caring sister. She was very supportive and acted as a great role model for her siblings while they were growing up. Kelsey was a friend to all she met, including every animal. She loved to spend her time drawing and singing. She could find the good in any situation and cared for all those around her first. Kelsey finally realized true love when she had her son, Michael Lee. Kelsey was an amazing mother to Michael. Her love for her son is what we will remember her for and her spirit will live on through him.
Kelsey is survived by her son, Michael; her husband, Jason Peed (Rockwell City, IA); her parents, Beth & Rod Yoerger (Hawarden, IA), and Tom & Michele Tapper (Granville, IA); her siblings, Lee Tapper (Hawarden, IA) and his girlfriend Ashley Gates (Lake City, MN), Ashley Yoerger (Hawarden, IA), Brandon Yoerger (Omaha, NE), Kara (Tyler) McKinney (Clemens, NC), Jake Tapper (Granville, IA), and Luke Tapper (Granville, IA); her grandparents, Bruce & Joann Ericson (Hawarden, IA), Leon & Pat Yoerger, and Gary & Judy Meyer; her great-grandma Forney, and many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Kelsey was preceded in death by her great-grandma Mac, her grandparents Elmer and Norma Tapper, her aunt Pam Luckel, and her cousin Dustin Koopmans.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a fund that has been set up for her son, Michael, at Iowa State Bank of Orange City, IA, and People's Bank of Hawarden, IA.
