Jesse Schacht

Sheldon, Iowa – Jesse C. Schacht, 40, of Sheldon, formerly of Doon, Iowa, died suddenly on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at the Sanford Sheldon Medical Center.

Memorial Service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 24, 2018 at the Porter Funeral Home in Rock Valley, Iowa with Pastor Brian Quall officiating. Visitation with the family present will be from noon to 2:00 p.m. Saturday prior to the service. Condolences may be sent to www.porterfuneralhomes.com.

Jesse Clinton Schacht was born October 30, 1977 in Sioux Center, Iowa, the son of Rick and Linda (Bliek) Schacht. He lived with his parents in Doon, Iowa until he was 7 years of age. He then attended the Iowa Braille School in Vinton, Iowa. Following his graduation, he attended the River Valley School (a part of Hope Haven) in Rock Valley, Iowa. Jesse lived at the CCSI Waiver home in Sibley, Iowa for 15 years. He lived for 2 years at the Country View Manor in Sibley before moving to the Village Northwest Limited in Sheldon, Iowa in September of 2017.

Jesse loved music, riding in cars, and enjoyed taking baths.

He is survived by his parents, Rick and Linda Schacht of Doon, Iowa; 2 sisters, Mandy and husband Rob Telford and their children Seth and Kole of Rock Rapids, Iowa and Deanna and husband Jamie Fluit and their children Ryleigh and Serenity of Doon, Iowa; and several aunts and uncles.

Jesse was preceded in death by his grandparents, Adrian and Jennie Bliek and Vernon and LuVane Schacht.
