Jacob Daniel was born on March 6, 1994, to Daniel and Jennifer (Fladmark) Soodsma in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He grew up in Paynesville, Minnesota, Doon, Iowa and Rock Valley, Iowa. He graduated from Rock Valley High School where he enjoyed football, band, and stirring up trouble. His life was full with the Minnesota Vikings, his work at Kooima Company, and his huge circle of friends. His love overflowed for his family and every single person who came close to him and his infectious smile and “hello”. He gave everything he had to others, both in life and death.
He will be deeply missed by his parents, Dan and Jenny; his brother, Jordan (Cortez, CO), brother, Josh (Vermillion, SD), sister, Josalyn (Sioux Falls, SD), and brother, Jonah (Rock Valley); grandparents, LaVonne Fladmark (Colton, SD), and Pete and Helen Soodsma (Hull, IA); along with all of his Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and his hundreds of friends. He will be joining his grandfather, Donald Fladmark, in heaven.
As Jacob always hoped to be able to do more for his sister and her struggle with epilepsy, memorials can be directed to the Epilepsy Foundation.
