Henrietta Herweyer was born Nov. 8, 1930 near Sioux Center, Iowa. She was the daughter of Jim and Henrietta Herweyer. She graduated from the Hawarden, Iowa high school in 1947. She married Peter Daale, Jr., her high school sweetheart, on Aug. 12, 1949. They made their home northeast of Hawarden where they lived for 74 years. She was a member of the Hawarden Christian Reformed Church where she was involved in many activities. She was very active in the farming and trucking business where she took care of all of the bookwork. She worked as a preschool teacher assistant at the Hawarden preschool where she blessed numerous children with her loving kindness. Henrietta and Peter enjoyed many years of camping at Oak Grove State Park where they made many memories while sitting around the campfire with their camping friends. She enjoyed bird watching and playing Rummikub with her family and friends on her back patio. Henrietta also greatly enjoyed volunteering at Hillcrest Care Center and blessing the residents with her piano playing and visiting. One of her favorite things to do was to stay very involved in the activities of her 10 grandchildren and her 28 great-grandchildren whom she adored. Whenever any were visiting, she made sure her kitchen was open to unlimited pancakes and ice cream cones. Her love knew no boundaries. She truly embraced God’s command to love others as He loves us and made sure everyone knew that the Lord will provide.
