Glen Antone Stephenson

Rock Valley, IA: Glen Antone Stephenson, 65, of Rock Valley, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at Whispering Heights of Rock Valley. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 8, at 10:30 AM, at Trinity Christian Reformed Church with Pastor Stanley Groothof and Pastor Dan DeVries officiating. The service will be livestreamed at https://vimeo.com/event/4077519. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery of Rock Valley. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00-10:30 AM at Trinity CRC.

Glen Antone Stephenson was born February 9, 1960, in Webster City, Iowa. He was baptized on April 20, 2008, at Trinity Christian Reformed Church in Rock Valley, Iowa. Special church friends were instrumental in leading him to accept Jesus as his Lord and Savior.

Despite a challenging childhood and being raised primarily in the foster care system, Glen formed special relationships with those he considered parents along the way. In 1976, he and his brother, Roy, began receiving services at Hope Haven in Rock Valley.

Glen enjoyed working at the Cedar Rock Grille (formerly Towne House Restaurant) in Rock Valley for over 35 years. The friendships he formed there were a blessing to him.

Glen married Judy Cross on April 4, 1987, in the Wayside Chapel outside of Sioux Center, Iowa. They built a life together in Rock Valley and enjoyed community through their relationships at Hope Haven and Trinity CRC. To this union, a son was born and was lovingly placed for adoption.

Glen loved to read and spent countless hours learning about U.S. history. His stack of books was never far from his chair. Glen also enjoyed going out to eat, reading comic books, scrapbooking, watching movies and attending the Trinity CRC Men’s Bible study.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Judy, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Roy.
