George J. Hirschman, age 100 years, 5 months, of Maple Grove, formerly of Hawarden, Iowa, died on Tuesday, May 20th 2014 in Maple Grove, MN. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 AM on May 28th 2014 at St Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Maple Grove MN. Officiating The Reverend Michael Sullivan. Burial will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, May 29th 2014 at Grace Hill Cemetery, St. Mary�s Section, in Hawarden IA. Officiating The Reverend Roger Linnan.
George was born on December 29, 1913 in Hartington NE. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Catherine Hirschman, wife Clarissa, brother Franz, and sisters Clara, Laura, and Leone.
He is survived by daughter, Trudy Heller, son Mike (Donna) Hirschman, ten grandchildren, Brigid (Tim) Scannell, Megan McGinnis, Heidi (Steven) Banks, Rock (Carol) Heller, Heather (John) Seckinger, Luke (Julie) Heller, Shauna Heller, Teresa (Scott) Altman, Angela (Jake) Savstrom, Anthony (Elizabeth) Hirschman, and 18 great grand-children.
