Everett Willard Sunt

HAWARDEN, IOWA – Everett Willard Sunt, 81, of rural Hawarden, passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at his residence west of Hawarden following an illness of cancer.

   A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the near future to celebrate Everett’s life. His family prefers, in lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials be directed to the family. The Porter Funeral Home in Hawarden has assisted the family.

   Everett Willard Sunt was born December 3, 1939 at Dakota City, Nebraska, the son of Willard Everett and Liala (Phillips) Sunt. Everett drove trucks for many years, usually being long distance, covering most of the states. He married Tammy Young and they made their home on the River Road in Union County west of Hawarden.  Everett was last driving for DUSTAR before being diagnosed with cancer.

   He is lovingly survived by his wife, Tammy; two daughters, Tabitha and Corey Van Weston and Danielle and Ryan Carlson all of Hawarden; and 10 grandchildren.

   Everett will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
