HAWARDEN, IOWA- Elaine Diane (Koenck) Clark, 53, died Friday, March 8, 2013 at her residence in Hawarden. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church in Hawarden with Pastor Stuart Schreur officiating. Burial will take place at a later date. Visitation will be after 2:00 p.m. with the family present from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the church. The Porter Funeral Home in Hawarden is assisting the family.
Elaine was born December 6, 1959 in Cherokee, Iowa, the daughter of Marvin and Shirley (Fay) Koenck, Sr. She grew up in Cherokee and lived in many different communities, including Westfield, Akron and Hawarden. Elaine married Charles Clark on August 19, 1989. She was employed at the Knotty Keg in Westfield and also at K-Products in Hawarden. She later worked at Coilcraft and lastly at Fiesta Foods in Hawarden.
Elaine loved her grandchildren and enjoyed playing bingo, going shopping and attending concerts.
She is survived by her husband Charles; children, Steve (Nia) Koenck and Shirley Koenck of Hawarden; 5 grandchildren, Payge, Lily, Ty, Dayna, and Adyn all of Hawarden; her parents, Shirley McGillicuddy of Hawarden and Marvin (Mary) Koenck of Middletown, Maryland; mother-in-law, Pat Clark of Akron; and siblings and their spouses, Faith (Dave) Boettcher of Akron, Vicki (Kevin) Voegeli of Beresford, South Dakota, Sonny (Kim) Koenck of Estherville, Iowa, Pope Koenck of Sioux City, Iowa, Mickey (Judy) Koenck of Remsen, Iowa, Mary (Tom) Boynton of Hawarden, Wendy (Pat) Turner of Hawarden, Angie (Frank) Rezac of Dolliver, Iowa; a sister-in-law, Tammy (David) Groves of Westfield, Iowa; a brother-in-law, Tom (Mandy) Clark of Sioux City, Iowa; and numerous nephews and nieces.
Elaine was preceded in death by her step father, Walter McGillicuddy; her father-in-law, Wilbur Clark; and a brother-in-law, JR Pulfrey.
