Desiree Ann Ochoa-Valiente

HAWARDEN, IOWA- Desiree Ann Ochoa-Valiente, age 40, of Hawarden, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 2, 2021, at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Funeral Service will be 3:00 p.m. Monday, August 9, 2021, at Porter Funeral Home in Hawarden with Pastor Richard Bennett of the Friendship Assembly of God officiating. A luncheon will follow at the Hawarden Community Center. Public Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. Monday. Condolences may be sent to www.porterfuneralhomes.com.
Desiree was born October 9, 1980, in Wessington Springs, South Dakota to Bill Dixson and Agatha Obago, and later moved to Hawarden, Iowa. She was recently employed at Casey’s and prior at the Hawarden Regional Healthcare, McDonald’s, Staples, and HSG.
Desiree loved many things in life but was very fond of wolves and dragonflies.
She is survived by her dad and mom, Bill and Helen Dixson of Hawarden; three brothers, Joshua Dixson of Hawarden, Frank Dixson of Yankton, South Dakota, and Andrew Dixson of Chamberlain, South Dakota; three children, Agustin Dixson, Alixsandria Ochoa-Valiente, and Alicia Ochoa-Valiente all of Hawarden; grandmother, Mary Ann Rose of Warsaw, Missouri; close family friend, John Kaskie; plus, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Desiree was preceded in death by her husband, Lucas Ochoa-Valiente; two sons, Lucas and Josue Ochoa-Valiente; her mom, Agatha Obago; grandparents, Dan and Ann Angle; aunt, Mary Angle; best friend, Annette Van Bochove; uncle, Mike Dixson; and aunt, Sherri Rose.
