Clazina Blom

Inwood, IA: Clazina Blom, 85, of rural Inwood, died Sunday, February 28, 2016 at Sanford USD Medical Center, Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 2 at Netherlands Reformed Congregation of Rock Valley with Rev. E.C. Adams officiating. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery, Rock Valley. Clazina (Fluit) Blom was born November 4, 1930, near Lester, Iowa, daughter of William and Bertha (Korenberg) Fluit. She married Arie Blom on November 30, 1954, at Inwood, Iowa. Together they lived on a farm west of Inwood. Clazina enjoyed being a homemaker and raising their ten children. She was a member of the Netherlands Reformed Congregation.

Surviving relatives include her husband, Arie of Inwood; children, Cornelius (Bev) Blom of Corsica, South Dakota; Roberta (Don) Roberts of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Bill (Tena) Blom of Doon, Iowa; Marilyn (Mike) Hoogendoorn of Rock Valley, Iowa; Shirley (Dick) Spaans of Armour, South Dakota; Laura (Mark) Bleeker of Jenison, Michigan; Susan (Dan) Kamp of Hawarden, Iowa; Don (Heather) Blom of Inwood; and Tom Blom of Inwood; 34 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; brothers, Bert (Beverly) Fluit of Inwood and Teunis (Leona) Fluit of Inwood; sisters, Elizabeth (Len) Spaans of Larchwood, Iowa and Bernice Wiekamp of Inwood.

Clazina was preceded in death by her parents, William and Bertha Fluit; son, Allen Blom; brother, Gerald Fluit; 2 infant brothers; brother-in-law, John Wiekamp.
