Cheryl Hall

Hawarden, Iowa ~~ Cheryl Ann Hall, 55, of rural Hawarden, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at her residence with her husband by her side, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Memorial service will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 30, 2016 at the Porter Funeral Home in Hawarden, Iowa with Chaplain Marie Lykken of Hospice of Siouxland officiating. Refreshments will follow the service. Condolences may be sent to www.porterfuneralhomes.com.

Cheryl Ann Hall was born July 15, 1960 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the daughter of Carl and Natalie (Obrenovich) Bergmann.

Cheryl managed Musky Bill’s Resort in Pewaukee, Wisconsin and once owned Bagley Bottoms and Grandpa’s Store in Bagley, Wisconsin. She was in food and beverage management at casinos in Marquette, Sioux City, and Sloan, Iowa. While at Marquette, she met Scott Hall, whom she married on October 19, 2000 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Cheryl later managed the golf course club houses in Akron and Hawarden, Iowa. Most recently, Cheryl was the manager of Blue Mountain restaurant in Orange City, Iowa.

Cheryl had a strong work ethic and had served on the city council while living in Marquette, Iowa. She loved animals, gardening, fishing, and crafts.

Cheryl is survived by her husband, Scott; her parents, Natalie and Bill LeMere and Carl and Debbie Bergmann all of Wisconsin; stepson, James of Arkansas; sister, Charlene Clark of Wisconsin; half-sister, Tracy Bergmann of Wisconsin; special nieces and nephews, Shanda, Mitch, Matt, Mike, Christine and Hayden; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gene and Barb Hall; sister-in-law, Tammy and husband Tim Maybanks of Wisconsin.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her brother, Tony Bergmann and sister, Kelly Radmer.
