Carol Kae Van Driel

SIOUX FALLS, SOUTH DAKOTA – Carol Kae Van Driel, 70, of Sioux Falls, formerly of Rock Valley, Iowa and Doon, Iowa, passed away on Friday, July 26, 2024, at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

 Memorial Service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 3, 2024, at Porter Funeral Home in Rock Valley, Iowa with Rev. Cliff Hoekstra of the First Reformed Church of Rock Valley officiating. Burial of the cremated remains will follow at Hillside Cemetery at Doon, Iowa.

 Carol Kae Van Driel was born September 12, 1953, in Sioux Center, Iowa, the daughter of Marvin and Nancy (De Vries) Van Driel. She grew up in Rock Valley, Iowa. Carol was active with Hope Haven International and worked at Double H Manufacturing for 25 years. She made her home at Meadows on Sycamore in Sioux Falls, South Dakota for the past 8 years.

 Carol enjoyed and was very good at coloring. She liked to look at books, play cards (she was a card shark!), and enjoyed helping others and making new friends. Carol was very good at remembering names and sang in the Hope Haven Choir.

 She is survived by her two sisters, Amanda (Jerry) Langley of Westfield, Iowa and Dawn (Theo) Dykstra of Canton, South Dakota; nephews and nieces and their families and other family members.

 Carol was preceded in death by her grandparents; parents; aunts; uncles and a cousin.
