Hawarden, Iowa, Ariyanna Rose Miller, age 16, of rural Hawarden, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at the University of Minnesota Masonic Childrens Hospital.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 7, 2015 at the Alcester-Hudson Elementary Gymnasium in Alcester with Father Doug Klein and Father Roger Linnan concelebrating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Alcester. Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday at St. Marys Catholic Church, with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. Friday at St. Marys Catholic Church in Hawarden. Ariyannas family requests that guests wear Ariyanna Clothing to the services. The Porter Funeral Home in Hawarden is assisting the family.
Ariyanna Rose Miller was born July 15, 1998 in Canton, South Dakota, the daughter of Loren and Samantha (Westphal) Miller. She attended her K-1 schooling in Ortonville, Minnesota and currently was a junior at the Alcester-Hudson High School. She was very involved in cheerleading, volleyball, track, softball, FFA and choir. She was a member of the National Honor Society at Alcester-Hudson and the St. Marys Catholic Church in Hawarden. Ariyanna enjoyed riding horses and motorcycles, and doing acrylic painting. She especially liked driving around with her friends and drinking her coffee with lots of whipped cream!
Ariyanna is survived by her parents, Loren and Samantha; her brothers, Layne and Wyatt; and Ariyannas Army.
