Alan Kragt

A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 11. Please meet at the Porter Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. We will proceed to the Valley View Cemetery at 11:00 a.m.

Alan Richard Kragt passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2014 in Makato, Minnesota. He was born in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota on November 16, 1960. Alan was the son of Dr. Preston and Mary Lee Kragt who reside in Sebring, Florida. He is survived by his parents as well as his sister Ann Van Coevering of Sebring, Florida, his sister Mary Sue Hansen of Sleepy Eye, Minnesota and his brother, David Kragt of Boca Raton, Florida.

For the past several years Alan has resided at Sakatah House, in Mankato, Minnesota. This is a home for mentally challenged men. There, the staff has given him very good care and encouraged him to meet his full potential. He has lived a very full life.

Alan will be missed by his parents and siblings, the staff and his 'brothers' at Sakatah House and many others. He has touched many lives.
