HAWARDEN, IOWA ~ Agnes Wulf, 87, of Hawarden, passed away on Monday, November 4, 2024, at Hillcrest Health Care Services.
Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 18, 2024, at the United Methodist Church in Hawarden with Rev. Samuel Ansong officiating. Burial will follow at Grace Hill Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November the 17th at Porter Funeral Home in Hawarden. Condolences may be sent to www.porterfuneralhomes.com.
Agnes Wulf was born September 8, 1937, near Fairview, South Dakota, the daughter of Gerrit and Agnes (Vander Ven) Van Noort. She attended Oakland School near Fairview, South Dakota from 1st to 3rd grade and 4th through 8th grade at Wilson School in Stickney, South Dakota.
Agnes married Lawrence Wulf on August 1, 1955, at Aurora Center, South Dakota. She worked for area farmers until they moved to Hawarden, Iowa in 1965. Agnes was employed at Coilcraft for 10 years and later did house cleaning for others. She enjoyed crocheting and made many slippers for family members and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Kilpatrick and her husband Troy of Rapid City, South Dakota; 4 grandchildren, Desiree (Jared) Bultje and their daughters, Elizabeth and Emilyn, Dustin (Ashley) Sperlich and their sons Jaylen and Tayten and their daughter Beckley, Gannon Kilpatrick, and Bailey Kilpatrick; her sister, Clara Bruinsma of Stickney, South Dakota; and nieces and nephews.
Agnes was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lawrence; 3 children, Vicky Wulf and Larry Wulf, and Cindy Sperlich; siblings, Jake Van Noort, Bill Van Noort, Bernard Van Noort, Marven Van Noort, Gerrit “Smoke” Van Noort, Nancy De Boer, Ann Overweg, and Doris De Bruin.
